The DT250 is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984.
The DT250 features an X-shaped basswood body with a birch top and beveled edges mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret fingerboard with dot markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V5 humbucking pickups, a Powerocker synchronized tremolo bridge, Tek Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.
The Transparent Red DT250 has a maple fretboard which is stained to match the body. The versions with the Black and White finishes have a rosewood fretboard. The headstock matches the body with all finishes. The birch top was eliminated for 1985.
The DT350 is a related model with a Pro Rock'r tremolo and without the bevel edged body.
