The DN400 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2009. Along with the DN500, it was the first model in the new Darkstone series.
The DN400 features a sapele body with a crackled "aged plaster" finish mated to a set-in sapele neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with block position marker. Components include a Tune-o-matic style Tight Tune bridge and tailpiece, a pair of Ibanez HS1 humbucker-sized single coil P90-style pickups, and Ibanez tuners with half moon buttons.
The DN400 was discontinued after only one year in production. A similar model with a different finish, the DN600, was introduced for 2010.
