The CR100E is a Charleston series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1994. It was produced in South Korea.
The CR100E features a slim-hollow body design with a spruce flat top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on nato back and sides joined to a mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include a rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle and white bridge pins, a plastic nut, a black pickguard and Die-cast tuning machines. Electronis are a piezo pickup with an on board active 3-band EQ500 preamp.
For 1995 the body material was changed to mahogany in the "US market"; Meanwhile for the "European market" the fingerboard inlays were changed to abalone dots and the preamp was changed to an Ibanez AEQ-20.
The CR80 is a related acoustic model missing the 3-band EQ preamp.
The CR100E was discontinued after 1995.
