High output pickup designed for down-tuning. Introduced in 2011 with the RGD series (see RGD320). They are sometimes called VK1-DT (Down Tune) in the catalogs (his pickup series shares a connection with the VK1 & VK2 pickups of the former Arondite series, featuring neck blade humbuckers as well). 7-string version also available.
These pickups are designed to increase reverberation on lower tones, making them excellent for down tuning.
