CAP-LZ pickups on the RGA32

Ibanez-made CAP pickups. They cover a wide range of guitar series.

CAP-CCR

CAP-CCR1, CCR1

Construction:	Humbucker

Description:

The CCR1 was introduced in 2008 along with the FR series (see FR2620) and re-named CAP-CCR1 in 2011. See also: Calm Crusher pickups.

[They] don't have the same heat on ceramic magnets, but still have the power to cut through the mix.

CAP-LZ

CAP-LZ10, CAP-LZ17

Description:

Active pickups. Aiming at replacing the former LoZ pickups, the CAP-LZ pickups were introduced with the RGA Prestige series in 2011 (see: RGA420Z). Usually the tone knob is replaced by the RGA Active EQ. 7-string version also available.

[They] cover very wide range, and offer strong but rich middle tone for fast and heavy riff and shred solo playing.

CAP-PP1

CAP-PP1-N

Description:

Introduced in 2011 to replace the PP1 in the Darkstone series (see DN500).

The tube pole-piece construction of the new pickups designed for the Ibanez Darkstone offers quick response, sparkling clarity and added harmonics for a humbucker sound.

At the same time, humbucker-sized single-coil pickups were also introduced in the Darkstone series, the HS1 pickups (as found on the DN400).

[They] produce loud and crunchy tones that cut through for hard rock and punk styles.

CAP-PP1-B

CAP-VK

CAP-VK1, CAP-VK17

Magnet:	Alnico 5

Description:

High output pickup designed for down-tuning. Introduced in 2011 with the RGD series (see RGD320). They are sometimes called VK1-DT (Down Tune) in the catalogs (his pickup series shares a connection with the VK1 & VK2 pickups of the former Arondite series, featuring neck blade humbuckers as well). 7-string version also available.

These pickups are designed to increase reverberation on lower tones, making them excellent for down tuning.

CAP-VM

CAP-VM1

Description:

Introduced in the RG Premium series in 2011. See: RG870.

RG Premium guitars produce the tone of great diversity, from pure clean to aggressive distortion sound with newly developed pickups, CAP-VM1, VM1S and VM2 which work in great combination that enables such versatile characters. Also, minimum sound loss by adopting Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) coil.
