- naming convention -> 100% ok
- "world" instead of "other" -> 100% ok
- A single umbrella category instead of many sub-categories -> 100% ok
Nothing more to say, your arguments are crystal clear and I share your views completely.
About the "wiki expansion", sorry for the late reply, at least I've had more than enough time to make up my mind: we've been saying (since forever) "yea maybe one day, in the long distance future, we MAY add the semi/full hollows/etc". To me it was the diplomatic way to say "pain in the ass, never ever".
But looking at the way we regularly add models, how we handle the wiki structure, and our global recent works, it now look definitely possible. So I've moved to a "why not" position (believe me it means a lot).
However, please, let's try to make a near-perfect solid body section first, before going in every direction.
EDIT: I've started editing the Euro catalogs. I'm still confused, should the good old "North America" become "World", or should it keep its real name "North America"? According to Ibanez, this area covers the Canada + Central/South America + Oceania, so "World" makes sense, but I still hesitate.
EDIT²: "World" looks perfect in the end. Btw I was thinking about something (sorry): since all page names begin with the year "201x", they are all sorted into the same "2" letter. But there is a good way to "trick" this:
- <Category:Ibanez catalogs> is what we use currently.
- <Category:Ibanez catalogs|Europe 2012 Europe catalog> will force this page to be sorted under "Europe" instead of its usual "2".
I don't know if it is clear, you can see for instance the Category:Tremolo bridges where the Double locking tremolo and the Synchronized tremolo are both sorted under a star "*". it's not a sub-category but it makes the page easier to read. 2 cts.
