The BTB845 features neck through body construction with a poplar burl top and mahogany back on ash wings attached to a maple and rosewood neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba and the maple and rosewood neck was replaced with maple and walnut. For 2019 the mahogany back was replaced with okoume. For 2021 graphite reinforcing rods were added to the neck and the fretboard material was changed back to rosewood.
