The BTB7MS features neck through body construction with a bubinga top over ash and okume wings attached to a maple, panga panga and walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rods and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot postition markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of T1 passive humbucking pickups channeled through an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, stainless steel frets including a zero fret, individually mounted Mono-rail Vs bridges with adjustable 15.5mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
