The BTB605MLM is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2024. It is produced in Indonesia as part of the Ibanez Bass Workshop line.
The BTB605MLM features neck through body construction with okume wings attached to a maple and walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rods and a 24-fret flamed maple fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of T1 passive humbucking pickups channeled through an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, stainless steel frets including a zero fret, individually mounted Mono-rail Vs bridges with adjustable 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
The BTB705LM is a related model with a similar light multi-scale neck, but with a flamed maple top and rosewood fretboard. The BTB605MS is a related model with a panga panga fretboard, the same electronics, and a two inch difference in scale length between the treble and bass sides.
