The BTB556AH is a six string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced by World Musical Instrument Co. in Incheon South Korea as part of the Standard line. It was replaced by the BTB556A
The BBTB556AH features mahogany body with ash top and backbolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of DXP passive pickups with a Vari-Mid IIIB 3-band EQ, stainless steel frets, Mono-rail bridges with 17mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and die-cast tuning machines.
The BTB550AH is a similar four string model. The BTB555AH is a similar five string model.
