The BTB555AH is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced in South Korea by World Musical Instrument Company as part of the Standard line. It was replaced by the BTB555A.
The BTB555AH features mahogany body with ash top and back bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Ibanez IBZ DFR-5 passive pickups with a Vari-Mid IIIB 3-band preamp EQ, medium frets, a MR-2 bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and die-cast tuning machines.
The BTB550AH is a similar four string model. The BTB556AH is a similar six string model.
