The BTB550AH is a BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced in South Korea by World Musical Instrument Company as part of the Standard line. It was replaced by the BTB550A.
The BTB550AH features mahogany body with ash top and back bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Ibanez DFR-4 passive pickups with a Vari-Mid IIIB 3-band EQ, a MR-2 bridge with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and die-cast tuning machines.
The BTB555AH is a similar five string model. The BTB556AH is a similar six string model.
