The BTB515E is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2002. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line. It replaced the similar BTB515.
The BTB515E features mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini® Custom passive pickups with a Bartolini ITMB 3-band preamp EQ with bypass switch, large frets, Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a graphite nut and gotoh tuning machines.
The BTB510E is a similar four string version. The BTB1005 is a related model with curly maple top.
