The BTB515 is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2001. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line, replacing the BTB505
The BTB515 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of DFR-5 passive pickups feeding a Vari-mid 3-band HiFi preamp, medium frets, individually mounted Mono-rail II bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
