The BTB406QM is a six string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2001. It was produced by World Musical Instrument Co. in Incheon South Korea as part of the Standard line.
The BTB406QM features basswood body with quited maple top bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of DXP passive pickups with a Vari-mid three-band EQ, stainless steel frets, Mono-rail bridges with 17mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and die-cast tuning machines.
The BTB400QM is a similar four string model. The BTB405QM is a similar five string model.
