The BTB405QM is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2001. It was produced by World Musical Instrument Co. in Incheon South Korea as part of the Standard line.
The BTB405QM features basswood body with quilted maple top bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Ibanez Dynamix Full Range passive pickups with a Vari-mid 3-band preamp EQ, medium frets, Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a graphite nut and gotoh tuning machines.
The BTB400QM is a similar four string version. The BTB406QM is a similar six string model.
