The BTB205 is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the Standard line.
The BTB205 features agathis body top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Ibanez IBZ DX-5 passive pickups with a Phat preamp EQ, medium frets, a B105 bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and die-cast tuning machines.
For 2008 the body was changed to mahogany.
The BTB200 is a similar four string version.
The BTB205 was dicontinued after 2010.
