The BTB1906 is a six string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2019. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. It replaced the quite similar BTB1906E.
The BTB1906 features neck through body construction with a flamed maple top and back on African mahogany wings attached to a graphite reinforced panga panga and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with binding and offset abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Aguilar DCB passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, stainless steel frets including a zero fret with Premium fret edge treatment, a Mono-rail bridge with 17mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The BTB1905 is a similar five string model. The BTB1826 is a similar model with a walnut top.
