The BTB1206E is a six string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. t was produced by World Musical Instrument Co. in Incheon South Korea as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The BTB1206E features neck through body construction with flamed maple top and maple back on a mahogany body attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini® Custom passive pickups with an Bartolini® Custom 3-band preamp with a three-band EQ, stainless steel frets, Mono-rail bridges with 17mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
