The BTB1205E is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced by World Musical Instrument Co. in Incheon South Korea as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The BTB1205E features neck through body construction with a flamed maple top and maple back on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini® Custom BTB5 active pickups with a Bartolini® Custom ITMB-1B preamp with a three-band EQ, large frets, Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
