The BTB1006E is a six string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2002. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
It replaced the similar BTB1006.
The BTB1006 features flamed maple top and maple back on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini Custom passive pickups with a Bartolini Custom three-band EQ, stainless steel frets, Mono-rail bridges with 18mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The BTB1000E is a similar four string model. The BTB1005E ia similar five string model.
