The BTB1000E is a BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2002. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The BTB1000E features flamed maple top and maple back on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini® Custom BTB4 active pickups with an Bartolini® Custom ITMB preamp with a three-band EQ, large frets, Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The BTB1005E is a similar five string version. The BTB1006E is a similar six string version.
