The BL840 is a Blazer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1997. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.

The Blazer series is a line of guitars with styling similar to the Fender Stratocaster.

The BL840 features an alder body bolted to quartersawn hard rock maple multi-radius neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include an Ibanez humbucking pickup in the bridge position and two Ibanez single coil pickups in the middle and neck positions along with a Gotoh synchronized tremolo bridge.

The BL850 is a similar model with an HSH pickup configuration.

The BL840 was discontinued after just one year.
