The BL70 is a Blazer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1981. It was made in Japan by Dyna Gakki. The Blazer series is a line of guitars with styling similar to the Fender Stratocaster.
The BL70 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a trio of Ibanez Blazer SB blade-style single coil pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a phase switch for the middle pickup, a machined brass fixed bridge and Super Tuner II machine heads.
The BL50 is a similar model with a pair of humbucking pickups. The SB70 is a related model with a Studio-style body that was introduced in 1982.
The BL70 was discontinued after 1981 and replaced by the similar ash-bodied BL100
