The BL170 is a Blazer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1982. It was made in Japan by Dyna Gakki replacing the similar mahogany-bodied BL50. The Blazer series is a line of guitars with styling similar to the Fender Stratocaster.
The BL170 features an ash body bolted to a maple neck with a 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups without covers mounted in a black pickguard with a phase switch, a machined brass fixed bridge and Super Tuner II machine heads.
