The B300 is a five string closed back banjo model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It is made in China.
The B300 features a basswood block rim and a rosewood veneer resonator with abalone purfling and natural high gloss finish. It has a mahogany neck with dual coordinator rods and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and special pearl vine inlays. The headstock features a similar vine inlay. Components include a two-piece flange, rolled brass tone ring, steel tension hoop with 24-piece bracket, an 11" Remo head, a purpleheart saddle in a rosewood and maple bridge, a clam shell type tailpiece, plastic nuts, an etched chrome armrest, and chrome friction tuning machines with acrylic buttons.
For 2016 the pearl inlays were changed to acrylic. For 2018 the rosewood veneer resonator was changed to walnut veneer, the basswood rim was changed to poplar, the rosewood fretboard was changed to purpleheart and the rosewood and maple bridge was replaced with purpleheart and maple. For 2019 the neck was changed to okoume.
The B200 is a similar model with a mahogany or sapele resonator.
