The B200 is a five string closed back banjo model introduced by Ibanez in late 2013. It is made in China.
The B200 features an basswood block rim and a mahogany veneer resonator with multi binding and natural high gloss finish. It has a mahogany neck with dual coordinator rods and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and special pearl vine inlays. The headstock features a similar vine inlay. Components include a two-piece flange, rolled brass tone ring, steel tension hoop with 24-piece bracket, an 11" Remo head, a purpleheart saddle in a rosewood and maple bridge, a clam shell type tailpiece, plastic nuts, an etched chrome armrest, and chrome friction tuning machines with acrylic buttons.
For 2016 the pearl inlays were changed to acrylic. For 2018 the mahogany veneer resonator was changed to sapele veneer, the basswood rim was changed to poplar, the rosewood fretboard was changed to purpleheart and the rosewood and maple bridge was replaced with purpleheart and maple. For 2019 the neck was changed to okoume.
The B300 is a similar model with a rosewood or walnut resonator with abalone purfling. The B50 is a similar model with a mahogany rim and with simple white dot fretboard inlays.
