The AX1220 is an AX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2002. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end Prestige line.
The AX1220 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with a special inlay on the 12th fret. Components include dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls and a wraparound style fixed bridge. Unlike most Prestige models which have a barrel jack which is secured internally, the AX1220 has an externally mounted output jack with a square plate.
The AX1220 was discontinued after two years in production.
