The AWFS300CE is an Artwood series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It was made in China.
It is part of the Fingerstyle collection which incorporate several features specifically for fingerstyle players. These include a slightly shallower body for increased crispness, a deep round neck heel for improved access to the upper frets and dual pickups with dual outputs.
The AWFS300CE features a cutaway dreadnought body shape with a selected solid Engelmann spruce top with black and white multi-binding on okoume back and sides with an open pore semi-gloss finish. The round soundhole has a pau ferro rosette, binding and a clear pickguard. The 25⅝" scale thin C shaped African mahogany and pau ferro neck has a satin finish and a 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with a rounded edge and no inlays. Components include a compensated unbleached oil-impregnated bone saddle in a Macassar ebony bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an oil-impregnated bone nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of both an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and a block contact pickup connected to an Ibanez DP1 preamp powered by a pair of AAA batteries, and dual ¼" output jacks.
For 2021 the depth of the body was very slightly increased and the factory strings were changed.
The ACFS300CE is a related model with a grand concert body.
The AWFS300CE was discontinued after 2023.
