The AW8412CE is a twelve string Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in Indonesia replacing a predecessor model which was made in China with some minor differences.
The AW8412CE features a dreadnought body shape with a Venetian cutaway with a solid okoume top with X bracing on laminated okoume sides and back with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette. It has an open pore finished nyatoh neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a bone saddle in an ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a black pickguard and chrome tuning machines. Electronics consist of a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
The AW84CE is a similar six string model. The AW5412CE is a similar model with a plastic nut and saddle.
