The AW70 is an Artwood series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1979. It was hand-made in Japan.

The AW70 features a dreadnought body with solid german spruce top on mahogany back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with fancy rosette and a solid rosewood pickguard. The selected mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with pear dot position markers and a ebony headstock. Components include a Tru-Tune saddle on a ebony bridge, a bone nut and chrome velve tune machine heads.

For 1981 the machine heads was changed to Smooth tuner.

The AW75 is a similar 12-string model. The AW60 is a similar model with solid sikta spruce top. The AW90 is a similar model with solid rosewood back.

The AW70 was discontinued after 1981.
