The AW65L is a left-handed Artwood series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2014. It is made in China.
The AW65L features a dreadnought body shape with a solid cedar top on mahogany back and sides with a low gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a wooden rosette. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut and chrome Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard and bridge were replaced with ovangkol. For 2019 the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume, the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh and the wooden rosette was replaced with black and white acrylic.
The AW65 is a right-handed version. The AW65LECE is a similar acoustic/ electric model with a cutaway body. The AW54L is a similar model with a mahogany/ okoume top.
The AW65L was discontinued in 2017.
