The AW58E is an Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in China and was a spot model that never appeared in a catalog.
The AW58E features a dreadnought body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top with X bracing and and black binding on rosewood back and sides with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white ABS rosette and a black pickguard. It has a satin finished mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome tuning machines.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an AEQ210T preamp with an on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
The AW58 is a similar acoustic-only model. The AW50ECE is a related model with a cutaway body with mahogany back and sides and different electronics.
