The AW5412CE is a twelve string Artwood series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It is produced in Indonesia replacing a predecessor with the same name which was made in China with minor differences.
The AW5412CE features a dreadnought body shape with a Venetian cutaway with a solid okoume top with X bracing on laminated okoume sides and back with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. It has an open pore finished nyatoh neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome tuning machines.
Electronics for the AW5412CE consist of an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
The scale length was very slightly shortened for 2025 and the headstock logo was changed from the script font to the italic block font.
The AW54CE is a similar six string model. The AW8412CE is a similar model with a bone nut and saddle.
