The AW535CE is an Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was made in China.
The AW535CE features a dreadnought body shape with a soft Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with maple binding on rosewood sides and a three piece rosewood and flamed maple back with wooden mosaic inlay and a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone rosette and a black pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple binding and maple dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Grover die cast tuning machines with half-moon buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore under saddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 pre-amp with an on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
The AW535 is a related acoustic only model without the cutaway. The AC535CE is a related model with a grand concert body.
