The AW50JR is an Artwood series medium scale acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It was made in China.
The AW50JR features a dreadnought junior body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top on mahogany back and sides with an open pore finish. The top has a spruce comfort forearm contour and a round soundhole with a simple black and white acrylic rosette. The 23.9" scale nyatoh neck has a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in an ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome tuning machines.
The AW54JR is a similar model with a mahogany/okoume top.
The AW50JR was discontinued after 2020.
