The AW500 is an Artwood series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was made in China.
The AW500 features a dreadnought body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top with abalone purfling and rosewood binding on rosewood sides and back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone and wooden rosette and a yellow brown tortoise pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with special abalone position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black bridge pins with abalone dots, a bone nut, and gold die cast tuning machines with black buttons.
The AW500K is a similar model with koa back and sides. The AW535 is a related model with a three piece rosewood and flamed maple back. The AW400 is a related model with mahogany back and sides among some other differences.
