The AW417CE is an Artwood series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It is made in China and is a spot model offered for sale only in eastern European markets.
The AW417CE features a dreadnought body shape with a Venetian cutaway and a solid Sitka spruce top with wooden multi purfling and cream binding on laminated flamed okoume sides and two-piece back with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a multi-wood rosette and a black pickguard. The nyatoh neck is wider than other AW guitars with a 48mm bone nut and a 20-fret katalox fingerboard with cream binding and maple dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in an katalox bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines.
Electronics for the AW417CE consist of a Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery, and balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
For 2022 the fretboard and bridge material were changed to pau ferro.
