The AW400LCE is a left-handed Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was made in China and sold only in the USA.
The AW400LCE features a dreadnought body shape with a soft Venetian cutaway constructed with a solid Sitka spruce top with tortoise shell binding and gloss finish on mahogany back and sides with a satin finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Grover open gear tuning machines with butterbean buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore under saddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 pre-amp with an on-board tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
The AW400L is an acoustic-only version without the cutaway body. The AW400CE is a right-handed version.
The AW400LCE was discontinued in 2016.
