The AW4000CE is an Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was produced in China.
The AW4000CE features a dreadnought body shape with a soft Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Caucasian spruce top with tortoiseshell binding on solid mahogany sides and two-piece back with a tortoiseshell backstrip inlay. The guitar is finished with a high gloss sunburst. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette and a tortoiseshell pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a satin finish and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a black pickguard and chrome tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle pickup, an AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery, and balanced XLR and ¼" outputs
The AW4000 is a similar acoustic-only model without the cutaway body.
The AW4000 was discontinued after 2017.
