The AW25 is a 12-string Artwood series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1979. It was crafted in Japan.
The AW25 features a dreadnought body with a solid sikta spruce top on selected mahogany back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with a fancy rosette and tortoise shell color pickguard. The selected mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a tru-tune saddle in a rosewood bridge, a plastic nut, and chrome plated individual machine heads.
For 1981 the machine heads was changed to Smooth tuner.
The AW20 is a similar six-string model. The AW75 is a similar model with german spruce top. The AW35 is a similar model with rosewood back.
