The AW160 is an Artwood series acoustic model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was produced in Japan.
The AW160 features a dreadnought body with select solid spruce top with abalone pearl binding on solid rosewood back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with abalone purfling rosette and has a solid rosewood pickguard. The selected mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod has a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl snowflake position markers and a rosewood headstock with fancy inlays. Components include Tru-Tune saddle on a ebony bridge, a bone nut and gold smoot tuner machine heads.
The AW200 is a similar model. The AW120 is a similar model with natural wood binding. The AW100 is a similar model with nickel smooth tuner machine heads and 3-piece back rosewood.
