The AW140E is an Artwood series acoustic/ electric model introduced by Ibanez for 1990. It was produced in Japan.

The AW140E features a dreadnought body with solid spruce top with black and white binding on flamed maple back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with black and white purfling rosette and has a shell pickguard. The maple neck has a 20-fret maple fingerboard with pearl dot position markers with an ornate inlay at 12 fret and a matching headstock. Components include a plastic saddle on a rosewood bridge, a synthetic nut and chrome Die-cast machine heads. Electronics are Master Volume and a 3-Band EQ system.

The AW140E was discontinued after 1990.
