The AW120Z is an Artwood series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It was made in China and sold exclusively in China.
The AW120Z features a dreadnought body shape with a solid spruce top on Macassar ebony back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette and a black pickguard. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome tuning machines. Electronics consist of a dual pickup system with a both a piezo pickup and a pad microphone, an IT4 preamp powered by a pair of CR2032 button batteries and a ¼" output jack.
For 2020 the solid spruce top was replaced with laminated spruce.
The AW100Z is a similar model with sapele back and sides. The AW120 is a similar traditional acoustic.
