AW120CE Natural High Gloss
The AW120CE is an Artwood series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It was made in China and sold only in China.
The AW120CE features a dreadnought body shape with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid spruce top on Macassar ebony back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a black pickguard and chrome tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle pickup, a Fishman Presys preamp with onboard tuner and a ¼" endpin output jack.
The AW120 is an acoustic-only version without the cutaway body. The AW100CE is a similar model with sapele back and sides. The AW120Z is a related model with a dual pickup system which was introduced for 2019.
