The AW100 is a model name which has been applied to several distinct Artwood series guitar models made by Ibanez since 1979.


AW100 commonly refers to one of these models:

  • AW100 (1979–1981) — The original made in Japan, solid german spruce top on solid 3-piece rosewood back and sides.
  • AW100 (1984–1986) - made in Japan, solid spruce with maple and rosewood binding on ovangkol back and sides, rosewood pickguard Smooth Tuner machine heads. Sold in Europe and USA.
  • AW100 (1990) - made in Japan with solid spruce top on solid mahogany body, pearl dot position markers with an ornate inlay at 12 fret, rosewood bridge with fancy inlays and prsicsion Die-cast tuners.
  • AW100 (1995–2006) — made in South Korea.
  • AW100 (2017–2022) — made in China
