The AW100 is an Artwood series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2017. It was made in China and sold exclusively in China.
The AW100 features a dreadnought body shape with a solid spruce top on sapele back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a black pickguard and chrome tuning machines.
For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh. For 2020 the solid spruce top was replaced with laminated spruce and the laurel fretboard and bridge were replaced with walnut.
The AW100CE is an acoustic-electric version with a cutaway body. The AW102 is a nearly identical model with a brown violin sunburst finish. The AW120 is a similar model with Macassar ebony back and sides. The AW100Z is a similar acoustic/ electric model.
