The AW100 is an Artwood series acoustic model introduced by Ibanez for 1995. It was produced in South Korea.
The AW100 features a dreadnought body with solid spruce top with black and white binding on mahogany back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with a multi ply rosette and has a shell color pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with peral dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a compensated plastic saddle on a rosewood bridge, a synthetic nut and chrome die-cast machine heads.
For 1997 the top was changed to solid sikta spruce and low gloss finish. For 2000 the top was upgraded to engelmann spruce.
The AW112 is 12-string version. The AW300 is a related model with abalone dot position markers and gold grover rotomatics machine heads. The AW500 is a related model with rosewood body ad abalone snowflake fingerboard inlays and gold hardware.
