The AW100 is an Artwood series acoustic model introduced by Ibanez for 1990. It was produced in Japan.
The AW100 features a dreadnought body with solid spruce top with black and white binding on solid mahogany back and sides. The round soundhole is trimmed with black and white purfling rosette and has a shell color pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers with an ornate inlay at 12 fret and a matching headstock. Components include a plastic saddle on a rosewood bridge with fancy inlays, a synthetic nut and chrome precision Die-cast machine heads.
The AW150 is a similar model with jacaranda body. The AW120 is a similar model with solid rosewood body.
