The AW100Z is an Artwood series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2019. It was made in China and sold exclusively in China.
The AW100Z features a dreadnought body shape with a solid spruce top on sapele back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a simple black and white acrylic rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a black pickguard and chrome tuning machines. Electronics consist of a dual pickup system with a both a piezo pickup and a pad microphone, an IT4 preamp powered by a pair of CR2032 button batteries and a ¼" output jack.
For 2020 the solid spruce top was replaced with laminated spruce.
The AW120Z is a similar model with Macassar ebony back and sides. The AW100 is a similar traditional acoustic.
